Some places are built. Others are remembered and then carefully brought back to life. For more than a hundred and fifty years, this was a farm house held by the same family through generations. A house shaped by the land around it: granite walls, ancient beams, and the constant, quiet presence of the nature.
Today, the farm house has been reimagined as a boutique home. Surrounded by the green, terraced landscape of Portugal's UNESCO-classified Douro Valley, and just over forty-five minutes from Porto, Quinta da Lameirinha is a private countryside retreat in Baião, at the gateway to the Douro.
Here, the heated pool, the outdoor hot tub, the terrace and the evening fire are all part of one simple invitation — to rest, to gather, and to experience the Douro as it was always meant to be lived: slowly.
